Favicon and Python

I decided to create a favicon [1] for my site. It’s not well designed, but I think the general idea is good for future versions. I just posted this information here because I did it using inkscape.

The second part of the news is that I started coding in python. I recently borrowed a book about it, “Learning Python” by Mark Lutz and David Ascher.

I’ve tried to solve some programming problems from SPOJ [2] to get a feeling, although I’ve already programed before (but I totally forgot about!) Well, but I’m learning python for another reason this time: I might need it for Blender!

Transparency and Reflections

I’ve done these two great tutorials on mirroring and transparency on Friday:

Yesterday I was too busy remaking the layout of my University Homepage. Unfortunately the server is down right now and I can’t update it yet.

In the new layout I added shadows using css. The images required for the setup were made in inkscape and gimp (I just dicovered I’m terribly bad with them).

I also found more blender material:

    • Blender art magazine – Contains some tutorials, news and other blender stuff. I’m wondering if I’ll have time to read all of them
    • Allan Brito – A nice blog about computer graphics, updated all the time, but is avaiable in portuguese only
